01 / USE THE TOOL
See where your pages fit
Try the fictional demo, or add your own files. You can import several child sitemaps together and keep the original structure alongside your proposed plan.
Save a project JSON so you can reopen your map and proposed plan later.
02 / REVIEW THE STRUCTURE
Make the map useful for your next decision
Look at your main sections
For a service business, compare how much space each offer has. For a SaaS site, review product, solution and resource sections.
Review categories and products
For an ecommerce or WooCommerce store, look at category and product groups. Label important pages and note where the structure needs a closer look.
Agree the plan before a redesign
Agencies, MSPs and real estate teams can use the map to discuss which pages belong together and record proposed changes for their team.
The map follows URL paths from your imported list. A folder can appear as a path group even when no page exists at that address.
03 / KEEP THE PLAN USEFUL
Choose what to share with your team.
Use the original map to explain today’s structure and the proposed plan to discuss what should change.
| What you need | Use | What it helps with |
|---|---|---|
| A map to discuss | SVG map export | Share the structure in a document or planning session. |
| A list of planned page changes | Page plan CSV | Review URLs, page annotations and proposed changes in a spreadsheet. |
| Items that need a closer look | Review CSV | Work through the import and URL review items. |
| An editable copy to reopen | Project JSON | Keep your imported sources and proposed plan together. |
04 / USE IT WELL
Questions about your website map
Can I import more than one sitemap?
Yes. Add several child sitemaps together. A sitemap index lists references to child files; add those files to map the page URLs they contain.
Does the map show internal links or click depth?
The hierarchy comes from URL paths. Use crawl data to check actual links, click depth and orphan pages. Use search data and technical checks to review indexation and page performance.
Does changing the plan change my website?
Proposed URLs and page notes stay in your plan. Your team can review them before implementing website changes or redirect rules.
How do I save my work?
Save a project JSON to reopen the editable map. Export a page plan CSV for the work list, a review CSV for items to investigate or an SVG map for sharing.
